With Mishka having made his first appearance since February, a couple of weeks ago, it was Theo’s turn to return to the ring. Like Mishka, Theo had not been shown since he was 4 months old and they are now 12 months old. The judge had been withholding challenges, so with Theo’s inexperience I
was a little worried. But I need not have been. Whilst being examined by judge John Connell (Tas) he wagged his tail constantly, then not only was he awarded his CC, but also Best of Breed and going on to take Best Junior in Group. An amazing return to the ring for him.
Theo will be stepping out again in a couple of weeks.
Liina continues to show beautifully. Being in the ring with her and the bond we are developing, is making me miss showing her Uncle Benni a little less. Once again, she never put a foot wrong, being awarded her CC and then going on to take Best Puppy in Group amongst lovely company. So it was a clean sweep for our youngsters.
Not all shows in Tasmania offer Neuter, so Fleur was none too impressed when I was leaving without her. Hopefully, she will be out again soon.
With the added light daylight savings gives us I have been able to do a bit more training with each of our ‘at home’ dogs, during the evenings after work. Liina has been focusing on Rally O and Tricks, while Fleur and Benni have started learning the foundations for Treibball. Whilst Treibball is not an approved sport here in Australia, I am planning on getting back in the herding yard with Fleur, so I am hopeful the skills used in Treibball will transfer.
